That's hilarious, almost exactly 10 years since the last website update. The PHP that our dear Compter made all those years ago finally aged out, so I've gone through and updated everything as best as I can to be PHP 7.4+ compatible. This was a mild restoration, so anything that's still here should work again for the first time since the old Gushi.org days. Hopefully that should kick the can down a few more years until it needs a whole overhaul, by then I hope to be a much better programmer.

I do not think the comic will continue, in case there's anyone out there still hoping for a conclusion. I have, for the most part, stopped drawing and have found different ways to explore creativity. Currently I'm working on a video game project, here's hoping you all get to see it someday soon!

After a remarkably long time without a website, CbtW gains a new home at Nuclear Development Productions. While CbtW has always been an NDP production, NDP itself never had a proper website until now. The future of CbtW still is unclear, as other projects have dominated the landscape now for nearly nine years. It may return someday, but as of yet is still an unfinished work.

Hmm, it would seem as if the only thing I ever use this page for is to announce 'the return of'. So, in keeping with that tradition, mark your Calendars for March 21st.

Yes, finally! CbtW is coming back, after its longest Hiatus ever, and hopefully it will stay that way. I never meant to leave it dormant for so long. It just took a wave of warm weather and thousands of cicadas to finally wake my creative self out of hibernation. See you on the 31st!

As you may have noticed, Murray Mouse has taken over art for a while. I think he's been doing a fantastic job so far, so give him a few paws for applause.

In other news, The Ursa Major Award Nominations are going on right now. I don't ask that you nominate me, though I would appreciate it, but there are a lot of good comics and other Furry media products out there that deserve proper attention. Sign up and nominate your favorite book or comic or movie of 2003 today.

Looks like I'll be hitting Anthrocon again this year. I'm going to attempt to get some art in the con book, but it might be full by now. There's some kind of raffle thing they're doing, so wish me luck. Either way, I'll be doing my usuals, hangin' out, partying, etc. See ya there.

Sorry about all the delays of late, but my life's been a non-stop insanity fest for the last couple weeks. I've been working a lot of extra hours to save up for Midwest FurFest. I'll go ahead an annouce that there will NOT be comics for November 21st and 24th, as I'll be busy with the convention. Thanks! -MtR

At long last, I added a few items to the CbtW store. More are on the way just as soon as I get them colored. I'm working on a Lucien design at the moment, and will take requests for other character if desired.

With much thanks from Comter, we've upgraded to a new system, from Javascript to PHP. This means the auto-updates will work, and you will be able to bookmark pages in the archives as you read through them. The pre-loader to make quick work of the archive read has been taken out, and may or may not be replaced. This new setup should also be more compatible with more browsers, so those of you kind enough to have emailed me about your browser not working with the new page should be rewarded as well.

As I mentioned in my last news post, I'll be going to Anthrocon. My plan is to finish out the time between now and then with Stephanie's guest strips, and then return with 2 comics a week right after I get back. Thank you all once again for being so patient.

It's official, I'm going again this year. If you're there, try to track me down. I'll be the only guy running around with an official CbtW tote bag. If you're still not sure, you can look at pictures I've posted in the forums and such. Hope to see you there!

Allow me to apologize for the last couple problematic comic updates. Things are a bit hectic right now, but I assure you I will get back on schedule as soon as things settle down. I'm sorry, sorry, sorry, and believe me when I say I'm not about to quit... but life does tend to cause problems. If the comic was all I did, that would be one thing, but sadly, life isn't that simple. I'd like to think we'll be back on track by July, but we'll see. Hang in there, everyone. You guys are great.

First off:

The Cartoonists Choice Awards

I'd appreciate it greatly if anyone who is registered would nominate me for 'Best New Comic', or any other applicable category.

Secondly, the talented artist Tabbiewolf will be doing the artwork for the next storyline. I would be highly thankful if you would go and buy some artwork from her, or ask for a commission.

Lastly, I'm giving a heads up to let everyone know that over Memorial Day weekend (24th-26th) I won't be here, so that monday's comic won't be posted until I return.

April 3rd, 2003

The all new forums are up... No more screwing with the millions upon millions of ads.. and you can swear now, too!

March 29th, 2003

Characters page has been updated. Thank you all for being so patient for this long, I know you've been asking for that for some time now.

March 28th, 2003

The comic has returned, bold, shiny and new. The site is up and running, so update your bookmarks.

March 24th, 2003

The New Site is nearly complete. Many thanks to Ben for helping out.

March 12th, 2003

Listen up, everybody... I'm taking two weeks off. I plan to return March 28th, and with luck, the new and improved webpage will be up and running. Coming soon: www.carriedbythewind.com !!!
